Admissions Philosophy - Why UAI Intentional Removed Admissions Screens

This approach highlights our belief that traditional metrics, like grades and test scores, are not the sole indicators of a student's capabilities. Additionally, our open admissions policy, welcoming female-identifying students entering the 6th, 9th, or 10th grades through the NYC DOE MySchools application, underscores our commitment to accessibility. The option for students in non-transitional grades to contact your Enrollment Director for support further reinforces your inclusive philosophy, ensuring that all interested students have the opportunity to join the UAI community.
