Our Campus and Neighborhood
Our Campus occupies a seven-story building located at 283 Adams Street in Brooklyn. The building, which  was previously used as the Brooklyn Family Court Building  was overhauled and beautifully transformed into our school building in 2008.

UIA shares our our campus with The Urban Assembly School of Law and Justice and the District 75 School AIL.  We have a full-sized cafeteria, a state of the art gymnasium, a dance studio and fully equipped science labs that also house our hydroponic garden.

Located in the heart of bustling Downtown, Brooklyn, UAI offers our students a staff a wide-array of food, culture, shopping and people watching in our surrounding neighborhood. Our students, who starting in 7th grade are allowed to go outside for lunch, enjoy grabbing food at one of the many food options and grabbing a seat at the nearby Downtown Brooklyn Shared Street next to Fulton Mall.
