Partnerships
UAI has a partnership with NYU Tandon School of Engineering where each semester, a cohort of Juniors are able to participate in a pre-engineering course on NYU's Brooklyn campus. Through this rigorous program, UAI students learn how to code and build a robot, as well as gain experience as a college student for a semester
College Now at the New York City College of Technology
Through UAI's partnership with College Now at City Tech, our 11th and 12th grade students are offered the opportunity to enroll in college credit-bearing courses for no cost. These courses are designed to improve academic achievement of UAI students and prepare them for the rigor of college.
The Urban Assembly
The Urban Assembly is a school network of 22 college and career focused small schools located in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx. Our school network supports us with:
- Developing Social Emotional Learning (SEL) courses that assist sixth and ninth graders with the transition to middle and high school
- Expanding College Access to all our students, connecting our students with opportunities at colleges and universities around the country
- Developing our staff leaders to utilize innovative, data driven and research based methods to drive student success
- Offering our students extracurricular career and mentorship opportunities
As a New York City Department of Education Affinity School, UAI is lucky to receive the support of our Affinity Group, including:
